3 months ago I repasted my VN7-592G with Deepcool Z9. I'm experiencing both CPU & GPU throttling again now. So I have to repaste. Longevity is important for me. I want something that lasts at least 2-3 years.
I was thinking about Cooler Master Mastergel Maker Nano but it has diamond particles and it can potentially scratch CPU die.

Any suggestions? Which thermal compound you guys used?

I would suggest you to try Arctic MX-4 or Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Yes. This is the best traditional thermal paste today. Only liquid metal may be better.

What's the problem with Arctic MX-4?

No problem, but there are much more effective thermal compounds.

    Instead of making holes

Instead of making holes and cutting the laptop's case, which can end up not as expected, it is better to buy a cooler pad. When a thermal paste is the issue, more airflow won't help.
