Okay, so I just bought a 4GB 2400 RAM for my Acer E5 476G.
I cant boot up my laptop after I installed my new ram, but I can boot up IF I take the new ram off of the mainboard.

My laptop is Acer E5-476G
i5 8250u
MX150
4GB 2400 Ram

    I confess that I don't know what you're asking.

I will try to give you answers though.

Your computer is a mainstream laptop and "enthusiast" type memory may or may not work in your laptop.  "Enthusiast" type memory may or may not work properly with your existing ram.

Your computer doesn't support XMP profiles.

Your computer uses Industry standard memory and Industry standard JEDEC profiles.

Although we as consumers don't know all of the JEDEC profiles that your computer supports, we do know the most important one, and that is the one that your computer shipped with.  :)

It's impossible for me to say why your computer didn't boot.  My guess is you were using XMP ram or ram that lacked a supported JEDEC profile.  I tried looking at your Venom memory to get tech specs on the Venom website and all I got was Apache server error.

I tried looking at your Team Group tech specs on Team Group website and all I got was insecure website.

Anywho, I'll give you some links if you're interested in learning more, but my advice is to avoid "enthusiast" type memory and just stick with the mainstream stuff.

Overclock.net forum is sometimes mainstream friendly and can sometimes help, but you'd probably have to give both the tech specs of your new ram and the existing ram.  Use CPUZ and post a screenshot.

    That's all I've got.  Good luck!  :)
