brummyfan2 - apologies for drilling on the subject.
But while awaiting m.2 delivery I don't want to give up yet. Can you share your bios version and settings?
I want to be sure I have explored all avenues before final decision.
  • Hi,
You don't need to apologise, my BIOS version 1.27.

last update - issue resolved.  NVME drive was just not supported by ACER.
Before this, I have flashed BIOS to latest - didn't help
I browsed thru Intel library to find newest latest driver chipset, still no result.
Finally secondary drive M.2 SSD SATA  2280 by Crucial arrived (CRUCIAL MX300 275GB M.2 INTERNAL SSD)
Note: I removed HDD drive for the time of installation.
I have slid in the drive,  formatted and proceeded with the installation of Windows 10 using USB stick created with Windows Media Creation tool.
On the completion, Windows 10 is starting in 10seconds from moment I press button to desktop (no password set)
Lesson learned: Even than NVME was fully discoverable by Windows, it was causing some hardware grief on booting-up stage, as it was taking 70 seconds just to boot from Bios to Windows. Despite all tricks and tips with BIOS and WIN environment, it was impossible to overcome this problem.
Anyway, thank you, everyone, especialy brummyfan2 for his patience and help provided. Thanks to the member like him this community is the good place to come and find solutions.

    Hi,
You can upgrade to a FHD screen(1920x1080), I have compared two famous screens for you but if you like any other brand, please let us know, avoid TN panels but they have better refresh rates than IPS screens.
