Is this normal? I bought my G3-571 2 weeks ago, but used for only 5 days. Anyone has a solution for this matter? I had the same problem with my older Aus, Dell notebook but I did not expect this to happen on my Predator Helios 300.
And pls let me know if there is a way I can disable the internal battery without openning the bottom case. Is this laptop can run with just the charger plugging in?

It doesn't lag when charger is unplugged, it just drops the performance by about 50% to save the battery's lifespan. If the power consumtion wasn't limited, the battery would be drained much faster and the fast drain of electricity kills the battery quicker.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
So am I suppose to keep the charger on all the time if I wanted to use my "gaming laptop" for gaming? I think that will kill the battery much faster, will it not?

It won't kill the battery faster. Actually, it is best to have the laptop on charger, when possible, even if not gaming.
