Try to Fn+(Up arrow Key) so you can increase the volume

Was the sound through the internal speakers good before? If so

Connect a head phone or ear phone and check the quality of sound. You can also connect an external speaker too.

If the sound through the external speaker and earphone are of good quality then it might be the internal speakers which is faulty.

Laptop speakers are not that powerful enough to produce good bass(low frequency sound). They are designed to be sensitive towards high and mid frequency sounds

The power of laptop inbuilt speakers are mostly 2W.
