Hi,
I'm sure this question has been asked, but I have yet to find a very satisfactory/detailed answer. My Aspire One Cloudbook 14 says it needs 8GB to update and I've deleted all of my files and backed them up on Google Drive. All these wack apps that the Acer comes with I can't delete and I don't even use them. Is there a way to make space for this update? I ordered an SD card. Will this help?

    yes, put the SD card on the SD reader and format it as NTFS (right click the SD card on file explorer, choose to format and select NTFS), windows will use the extra storage to update.

    reboot and try a diskcleanup too:
    windows logo key
    type
    disk cleanup
    click on disk cleanup
    click on Clean up system files
    let it scan
    then tick the files you want to delete, it's safe to do it
    at the end press ok and let it clean the HDD for you

    It' still not working. I only have 21 mB of space on disk cleanup. I'm trying to uninstall unnecessary apps that are expired or I don't use. It that doesn't work. I'll try to unload programs onto the SD card.

    It's a 64 GB. I read the article. Some of it is a bit confusing to me. Just to confirm, is the SD card only utilize to move apps/files onto it? I guess I thought i could move the update installer to the SD and run it from there, but I don't think I can. I moved and cleaned up all I can and still need 2 GB to run the update.

    normally SD if formatted as NTFS, is automatically used by updates, so not only for apps/files

    U HAVE TO DELETE EVERYTHING BY RESETTING THE LAPTOP AND KEEP ON DOING THIS EVERY TIME THE HARDDRIVE GET FILLED WITH UPDATES. THIS WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE THE IS NO OPTION TO STOP THE UPDATES.
    THIS LAPTOP AND ACER IS *****. THEY SHOULD JUST REFUND EVERYBODY THEIR MONEY.
    SAVE IMPORTANT FILES TO AN EXTERNAL PORTABLE STORAGE. IF YOU DO TO ONLINE STORAGE MAKE SURE U HAVE THE USERNAME/ PASSWORD.
