Smart Network Switch on Acer Liquid Zest Plus T08

I need to know how to turn off the smart network switch on my phone so I can avoid roaming charges when travelling out of country. On other phones it is in WIFI under advanced option and there you can turn it off or on. No such feature on the Zest plus. Does anyone know where the switch is located?

    you have 2 ways:
    1) disable the network data connection, so it will use only wifi; just pull down the notification bar and tap on mobile data (2 arrows)
    2) normally roaming is disabled by default, by the way it's under settings/More/Cellular network - data roaming

    Thanks for this. My service provider says that even when you disable data roaming and mobile data you also need to disable smart network switch. This function accesses data roaming when whatever wifi your close to is weak thereby incurring charges. It does this to maintain the connection. On other phones like Samsung you can disable this function under wifi. I cannot find it on this phone so it either doesn’t have this function or you can’t disable it which would be a problem when you are out of country and using wifi. Any help would be appreciated.

    Acer doesn't have this function, so disabling mobile network or roaming is enough.
