Hey folks I recently got an acer predator 17 and eventually managed to get the temps down while gaming from 90 degrees to 70 due to undervolting. I was happy with that and was good for a month until this recent windows 10 fall update. Now the temps are back to 90 degrees or more while its already undervolted and fans are going full blast always. Anyone else have this problem?

With what software you undervolt the CPU?
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Ok to anyone that's interested I think I have it sorted, I just updated the intel xtu program, after the windows fall update it seems to be the case that even though using intel xtu my undervolt was -0.130 on the 7700hq but system did not regester it. I updated program and now its dropped from 90 degrees to 66 max under stress.

Thanks for posting this as I haven't done the update yet but will know what to look for.  I too use the Intel XTU to great results undervolting at -.140.
