Hello; i was wondering if i coud add a second HDD to my Aspire TC-780 but when i opened it for the first time, i did not see a specific space for a standard hard drive disk, i know there's space for SSD but besides that...I do have an external hard drive disk enclosure that i can use but wanted to save some space on my desk.

So if i want to add another disk is it SSD the only way to go with this model?

Thank you!

    Hello,

    Your desktop is equipped with:

    • 2x SATA 3.0 sockets:
      -> One for an HDD
      -> One for an ODD drive
    • 1x M.2 2280 SATA 3.0

    So SSD will be the only solution. You'll be able to use SSD for OS+Apps and HDD for your data.

    For myself I used the 19 pin yellow socket and connect a USB wired. At the end put a USB to sata adapter. Connect the HDD with a regular sata wire and power with extra plug from desktop. It it working well. All wire and adapter for $10.00 on ebay.
