Strange USB issue. 1x USB at left side works well. -But 2 USB at right side doesnt work. At device manager evertything looks right. I've updated USB drivers and nothing new.. Machine works well, Win 10 (originally)..

Has anyone had this problem?

What device(s) doesn't seem to work on the 2 on the right? Jack E/NJ

Yes, I understand that. But what USB device doesn't seem to be working when you plug it into either of these two USB ports? Jack E/NJ

Two questions. (1) Is it still running on the factory-installed Win10? (2) When did you purchase the machine? Jack E/NJ

Factory installed win10, age about 1-2 years...

I found same issues with Acer machines too with google. Not found any solution..

Do you know for sure if these 2 ports have ever worked since you got the machine? Jack E/NJ

Then you have a decision to make.

To rule out a rightside USB version 2 specification port driver issue with your USB devices, you can re-set your machine to a factory-delivered state by following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuljT0a8F7I . You have the option of saving your data files. But you may lose programs and personal settings that you installed or made after purchasing the machine.

Or, since the machine otherwise works well, you can leave well-enough alone and assume your USB devices only work with the leftside USB version 3 specification port, and aren't entirely compatible with the two right hand USB version 2 specification ports.

If it was my machine and working well, I would leave well-enough alone!!! Because some USB version 3 specification devices are NOT entirely backward compatible with the USB version 2 & 1 specification even though they're supposed to be.

did you find any solution? cause i have the same issue ... i bought this laptop 6 months ago (today is 31/8/17) its workin properly for about 6 months and suddenly  the hall usb board just stopped working ... i had the mouse and an ext. hard drive pluged in , i left my laptop  for about 2 hours ...it turned into sleep mode , i came back to continue what i was doing ... and ... wuala ... nothing was workin ... not even the sd card ... i download all the drivers , i uninstall install everything many times , i did a format , i open manage and i try to find everything step by step , again and again , i used my voltometer on the usb ports and everything was 0 Volt power ... at least i got the guarantee for at least 6 more months but i dont want to get involved with costumers service and waiting etc...

OK. If it was mine, I'd ***immediately*** re-set the machine to factory-fresh condition by following this video after backing up all my personal files on some other media. If the factory re-set doesn't resolve the issue, then I'd be fairly sure of a hardware issue and have no choice but to seek customer service before the warranty period expires.

At least you caught it under warranty. It shouldn't take long. Jack E/NJ

UGEANE---Have you tried to re-set your laptop yet using the ALT+F10 coldboot method to see if it fixes the issue? Jack E/NJ

Bought the system around 6 months ago and suddenly the laptop right hand side ports ( USB 2 ) stopped completely , luckily its under warranty , initial inspection from my store told that it must go to acer service center ... till now i have tried all method , re isntalling drivers , updating drivers etc  and i dont want to spend hours in reinstalling windows . so i decided to let it go to acer service centre but while seeing on google its seems a regular problem for acer laptops , with no solution with software but fixing the hardware... its sad  :(
