Hey, Ive recently been dealing with a BSOD and im eliminating potential causes. (drivers being one) trying to install the driver for my x34 monitor from the website does not allow me to install it as there is no digital signature for the inf file.

Anyone know how to get this installed?

Running windows 8 64bit

so, it's an hardware issue somewhere.

rams are ok, SSD and HDD BSOD the same, so 2 different OSes.

if you are still under warranty, i would contact the manufacturer, probably the motherboard need to be checked; or take your PC to a computer shop.

i doubt the X34 driver is the BSOD culpritm by the way, check the BSODs:

    download this tool, whocrashed:
    http://www.resplendence.com/download/whocrashedSetup.exe

before running it, browse to C:\windows\minidump
delete all files apart the first 2-3 files (newest)
then install whocrashed and run it
    click on Analyze
    report here the result.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Ive reset my computer back to original settings. I'm trying to eliminate hardware being the cause. If it crashes again I'll post the minidump file here. This will be the second time I've reset it so I think it's hardware related. Ram was just swapped cause I thought that was the cause but turned out it wasn't. I'll keep you posted. (thanks again)

i would suggest you to check if anny BIOS update is available for your motherboard.

the intelppm.sys is part of windows drivers and probably is having some issues on your hardware (mostly CPU controller)

check also if any newer chipset drivers are available.

ok I have done a BIOS update and loaded the latest drivers for my chipset. I have also run Verifier.exe and It caused a few bsod as well. Im no pro, but I think its a driver causing the issues. How do I determine WHICH driver it is? please look at this report and let me know what you are thinking. Smiley Happy thanks IronFLY!

BSOD seems related to memory corruptions.

run a memory diagnostics from windows

Run a memory diagnostic and it came up clean ????. So I've done a factory reset bsod still. Run malwarebytes came up clean bsod still. As far as I know ram and ssd is clean, bsod still. I did have norton but I have removed it when I reset.

All this started happening when I performed a defrag on my ssd. Would that have anything to do with it?

Since then I've reformatted the ssd though and reinstalled windows. But still getting bsod. Argh!! Please help Smiley Sad

    Thanks again

    argh!

    defrag on SSD?

    never, never do it!

that's one of the easiest way to kill it, SSDs don't need defrag.

since you did a BIOS update, had you load defaults settings too on BIOS?

i also suggest you to install the suggested drivers from the motherboard or pc manufacturer and then check on device manager if any yellow exclamation mark is visible.

OK I've set default settings. I also have a a HD that originally came from an All-in-one. The OS is now on the ssd. Should I try and get drivers suitable for the all-in-one? Bsod still happening BTW. Want the who crashed file?
