XG27OHU goes black for 1-2 seconds

I recently bought the XG27OHU. Whenever I play a game with freesync turned on the monitor goes black for 1-2 seconds during a game and then goes back to normal. Only way I can stop this if I turn freesync off. I have switched the cables and updated my graphics card drivers (RX 480). I also reset the settings, but it still does it.

Anyone know any solutions, or what the problem could be?

    I'm having the exact same issues. Just bought a new Acer XG270HU yesterday. Swapped to 3 different displayport cables and problem continues. I'm using the R9 390 and having the problem ony with freesync turned on. Do I need to return this monitor to get a different model I wonder?

    I have no idea what the problem is, I even sent it in to support. They never really listened to what I had to say and when I got the problem. They just told me they tested it and couldn't re-create the error. So now I'm stuck with a monitor I bought for freesync and I can't use freesync. My best advice return this monitor, get your money back ,and try for something else. No idea what the issue is, and I've looked at a lot of places to figure it out.

    I had the same problem, gave up DP and switch to HDMI 2.0 + freesync works @ 144hz. Good luck.
