Predator Helios 300 Broadband & Controller Problem

Hi everyone,

Just bought this monster yesterday. Just being having a problem with my wifi connection. I have 25mb connection but I was only getting 3mb on the laptop. I tested my phone that was right beside the laptop and that was getting 20mb.

I reset router and that got it back up to 10mb but Steam was still downloading at 2mb.

I never updated anything as I was busy just downloading everything could it be a matter of just having to update the bios?

Also one more thing is their bluetooth on the laptop so I can use a bluetooth controller or do I need to buy a dongle?

Update your BIOS and LAN drivers. You can also perform a battery reset. Stick a paperclip in the battery reset pinhole and leave the laptop for 10minutes. Then press the power button continuously for 30 seconds.

The internet speed is measured in Mbit/s(Megabits per second). You say your internet is 25MB(megabytes). If your internet is 25mbit/s and your laptop gets only 10mbit/s(do you measure it from speedtest.net?) then it is normal to be downloading with 2MB/s as 1MB=8Mbit.

Yes I done it on speedtest.

Do you know about the Bluetooth controller cant find anything on it. If I need a dongle or if I can use my ps4 controller on the laptop wireless?

To find your bluetooth controller just type 'bluetooth settings' in Cortana and then click on it.

As of your internet try to connect your laptop to the router with an internet cable and see how much the speed will be. The phone reaches 20mbits and the laptop only 10mbits, which I don't think is normal. Make sure you update your drivers and BIOS as this can fix it.
