Sound desync when watching videos

I am using an Acer Aspire F 15, F5-573-71FM laptop.  I have been having this issue where whenever I try to watch a video on this laptop, the sound starts to crakle and then starts to get ahead of the video.  This happens on both Firefox and Chrome and happens on any video playing site like Youtube or Twitch.  It is only an issue on this laptop, it was not an issue on my old laptop, and it isn't an issue on my phone.  This is either an issue with Windows 10 or with the laptop itself.  I have already tried updating my video driver, and clearing my cache.

The sound dan desync up to a whole second or two ahead and on rare ocasions, the video will speed up to catch up to the sound.  I don't know if this is the sound going too fast, or the video going too slow, but this is getting very annoying.  If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be extremley grateful.

I also suggest you to update the BIOS to latest version.

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Interesting. What GPU your system runs with, while streaming videos? Does this happen when you set the video quality lower or to lowest?

Yeah, the sound still desyncs even on the lowest possible quality.  How do I check the GPU?

Go to nvidia control panel>manage 3d settings and then from preferred graphics processor choose high performance nvidia. This way you will run with the more powerful GPU. Then see if the sound will sync with the image.

I have Intel, not Nvidia, but I see the Intel control panel.

Hmm, when I go to Acer's drivers download page it has nvidia driver to download, but when I check the specs, it shows that it only has intel.

Can you please open run command and type 'msinfo32'. Then in system summary>components you will see 'display'. Click on it and write what GPUs are shown there.

It is possible that you have Nvidia GPU and the driver is not just installed and could be the reason for your problem.

To access run command just type 'run' in cortana/search, or right click on windows icon(bottom left) and select run.

This isn't what I need. You have to go in components and then from there select display. This where your GPU will be shown.

About the BIOS, download and install the latest version which is 1.27. Make sure your battery is 100% and laptop should be connected to charger.

So, you have intel hd graphics only. Update your intel hd graphics driver from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27058/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46-?product=96551

I updated the BIOS, and tried it again, and the desync's are all gone now.  Thanks for your help!
