what is your exact CPU model. Core i3 means nothing and no one can tell you anything whether it supports 2400mhz. In worst case scenario if you buy 2400mhz ram and if your CPU doesn't support it, it will downclock to 2133mhz automatically.

How much ram does your laptop have now, because in my opinion there is no point upgrading from 2133mhz to 2400mhz. There will be some very minor gains in best scenarios about 3fps gain.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

  • Hi,

Yes, it can handle only up to 2133MHz speed.

    Hi

Install Piriform Speccy, look at the spec of what is installed.

Go to somewhere like Crucial and have their checker give you an opinion.

Then look for the most suitable, reputable, supplier.

Some times it is better to have stable matching ram sticks than to push the clock speed.

what i wanted was the 5 digits after the i3 - i3 xxxxx. But i found out that you have the i3-6005U, which as brummyfan said supports up to 2133mhz.
