acer aspire 7736G Bluetooth, P button and fn key not working in windows 10
Since getting the free windows 10 update for my windows 7 acer aspire 7736G laptop the Bluetooth, P multi function button and fn key have stopped working. I've tried downloading the drivers necessary from the acer site but finding the exact driver needed is near impossible, the reason is there are about 5 or 6 different drivers within the bluetooth zip file and the one that corresponds to my machine is not made clear. It was all working fine on windows 7 and even microsoft remote access service agents couldn't fix the issue. Bluetooth is running in services.msc but there is no sign of it in device manager, in windows 7 it was under the other tab. I am stuck and really don't know how to fix this problem so any help that resolves my issues would be fantastic.

Hi,
Unfortunately, there's no driver support for your model from Acer, you have to depend on the drivers provided by the OS, you may also find the drivers from the manufacturers(eg: Intel). You can get majority of drivers through Update and security in Settings.
Could you please check whether Bluetooth is switched on in Settings( click Settings at Start, go to Devices, click Bluetooth).

Hi Brum
I have checked where you suggested and Bluetooth is not on and when I try to connect the inbuilt device it says couldn't connect. I have tried windows update too but nothing so there is not currently a driver installed either as I'm unsure which one to use from the acer site, there are about 4 or 5. I have tried to use them all and still nothing. I just don't know if there's a work around elsewhere? Thanks for helping.0 -
Hi Ken,
Have you tried the version 6.2.0.9700 from Acer support site? If you haven't, download it and extract the file, right click the setup.exe, go to Properties, click Compatibility tab, tick the box "Run this program...", select Windows 8 with the dropdown arrow and install and see whether it helps. Trying different drivers may cause the laptop to crash, so please backup all important documents or full disk image with a backup program like Macrium reflect free.

Hello again brum
I have this download on my drive but am unsure which driver is the exact one, there are quite a few in there, any idea which one is right for my machine?
Brand: Acer
Product Name: Aspire 7736G0 -
Hi Ken,
Please remove the SNID number and the serial number from your post as they are your personal information, you only need the Bluetooth driver mentioned in my previous post.

Hi brum sorry about that, I just thought it might help you find the exact driver I need, I've removed them as requested.

Hi Ken,
No problem, I have mentioned it for your benefit as these numbers are your personal details and shouldn't be in a public forum.
