No issues with the laptop when running, but once turned off and try to power back on, the light on the power button would flash and stay on, and laptop can't turn on unless I unscrew the 2 screws on the back where the RAMs located, and screw it back on, only then can I powered it back on. First, it just happened once in a while but now it's happening more and more.

if i can remember, probably there's a switch that check the ram cover, so it's why you are able to power it ON after unscrew it.

    please check your BIOS version:

    windows logo key + r

    type

    msinfo32

    report BIOS DATE/Version string

Also try to turn off windows fast startup:

then check if you are able to power it ON without issues.

My BIOS version/date is (Insyde V1.03, 5/30/2016) not sure if that's up-to-date. Had the settings for fast shut down already, and I just found out I didn't have to unscrew the cover anymore, I just have to reset my battery with the pin hole. (You are right about the switch for the RAMs cover, I saw the button/switch)

yes, BIOS is up to date.

so fast startup is turned OFF?

not good that you need to do a battery reset each time, can you please try this command to shutdown your system?

    press windows key logo

    type command

right click command prompt and choose to run it as administrator

    on command prompt type

    shutdown /s /t 0

    and press enter

your laptop will completly shutdown, after some minutes try to turn it ON.

That's the problem, it doesn't happen every time, just sometimes, that's why I can't send it to Acer support service because it might just run normal when they turn it on. Thanks for the help.

instead of unscrewing ... you shoud use the battery pin which you can find in your manual Smiley Happy.

I would reset the windows to fatory defaults and try again. If it still does not work correctly I would send it back after calling Acer.

as beststevied wrote, do a factory reset and if it still hang on boot...time to call Acer support service, random issue or not. Smiley Happy

Thanks for the help everyone, I had to send it to acer for repair, it turned out the mainboard needed to be replaced. There was nothing I could do. Thanks again.
