Hi!

Im new to this forum and just recently got a new Acer PC.

I have a question about swapping the mITX motherboard for a ATX x370. All components will be transferred to another case.

I understand the Serial key is embedded in the bios. Will i be able to recover it and install windows to the new system somehow?

Thank you

Victor

no, since you will change the motherboard this will act as a new PC and the product key is linked to the hardware and OEM manufacter board.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Hi

If it is a swapout due to a hardware failure, Microsoft may accept this and authorise a new key.

Telephone support is probably the best choice.
