Acer predator helios 300

Hey guys

first post here, just asking a question. I'm interested in buying the acer helios 300 etc. I am from australia and cannot find any here. If I buy it off amazon I have the issue of having an incorrect charger for my laptop and maybe other issues from buying a laptop from a different country. I was wondering if there is anyway I can purchase this laptop and recieve a charger that works in australia. 

 

Also what other issues might i face if i buy this laptop off amazon and ship it to australia?

    I would contact Acer and ask them honestly they will probably know best. My adapter (the brick part) says 100-240v but the wall plug part with the metal prongs definitely wouldn't fit in an Aus socket so maybe they can send you a different wall plug. The only thing I can really think of negative about buying it out of Aus. is the shipping costs might be kinda high. I don't really see why you couldn't have it shipped in as long as you had the adapter situation sorted.

    Hi Spodeyy,

     

    Helios 300 is just a marketing name and not the models name. As far as I know, there are four series:

    1. Predator G3-571
    2. Predator G3-572
    3. Predator G3-573
    4. Predator PH317-51

    I easly found a G3-571 model from an Australia reseller so this series is available in your country. In this case, you will have the right power cable and above all a regional warranty.

    The main issue would be probably the warranty. You'll be eligible to warranty in the source country + travel country (the one that you are not a permanent resident in)

    The power adapter will be fine, but you might need an adapter for the connection (the pins that actually get into the AC hole)
