    Hello Zerberoff

We are happy you have joined the Acer Support Forums.
The Acer Community is a global peer to peer support forum where users share their experiences and expertise with Acer products.

Because of the multi-national nature of our community, we have asked that users post in English only, as that is the most common language to all users. By doing this, our members are more likely to get a response to their question, and those answers will be available to the entire community as a resource.

    Hi,

I've juste bought a Acer Liquid Zest Plus last week and i've got the same problem : Firefox is removed after reboot/shutdown without any explicit message about it.

When Firefox is installed, it's working fine. When opening a link (from ie Google Inbox), Firefox can be selected and the link is then opened successfully.

I don't understand what's going on here and if this behaviour can be changed.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks, regards,

    xfr

I have the exact same phone, but do not have this issue.  I have Firefox installed, a,d shortcut even on my home page, and no issues after reboots.

Since your phone is relatively new, I'd recommend downloading any available system updates for the phone and allow it to update to the latest version available (Settings->About Phone->System Updates->Check now).  Once it is updated, backup anything you want to keep, and I would do a Factory reset (Settings->Backup&reset->Factory Data Reset).

I know it sounds brutal to be forced to do a factory reset, but Acer updates have turned out to not produce a very cleanevironement, and if you don't do a factory reset, you may expereince strange behaviours.  After a Factory reset, you should have a better experience.

    Hi,

I've just tried the factory reset this week and it worked! Thanks. I've also not used anymore my sd card to extend the Androïd partition, perhaps, there was a problem with it.

    Regards,

Glad it helped...  You can "Accept as solution" on the bottom of my previous reply, to tag it as the reply which helped you.

YES, SD cards can be a problem with Android 6.0, if formatted as internal storage (a.k.a. adopted storage).  My daughter's phone had a 32GB microSD card, and I guess this phone did not like it much (even though with her old Alcatel it was fine with it). It's not a crappy one either, it is a samsung evo+.  Strangely enough, every so often some apps would go grey, and become unavailable.  After a little experimenting, I found the problem was all the apps on the SD card which were acting funny sometimes.  So I slowly moved all the apps back to internal storage, and then reformatted the SD card as "portable storage" so she uses it mostly for her music and navigation maps.  With 16GB internal storage, it should be enough for her apps.
