I bought the smartphone (Acer E Lquid 700 ) last October 2014. After 3 months of using it, i noticed that the volume up and down button didn't funtioning anymore. it also overheats easily even an hour of continue using it. it also turns off and on and it keeps on looping like that... how to repair this? thank you.. hoping for your positive response.

Only Acer support service can repair those kind of issue, so you need to contact an official repair center.

Acer E700 doesn't have a removable battery, you need to call Acer support service or ask to a phone repair shop.

This phone is tagged as not having a user-replaceable battery.. So the only "official" battery replacement would be through and acer service center..

NOTE: Noone on this forum is reponsible for any damage you may cause to your phone if you chose to go ahead with the info below.

Having said that, if you do a search on ebay for "Acer Liquid E700 battery" or "BAT-P10 acer", you will find quite a few aftermarket batteries for the E700.  The original battery is a 3500mAh battery, however most of the after-market ones I see are listed as 3000mAh.

It is really a pain to replace the battery on this phone.. Once you remove the cover, there are about a dozen tiny phillips screws all around to remove and then remove the frame.  You need to remove the frame to be able to access the connector of the battery.. Also, be VERY carefull, because the battery is GLUED to the backside of the phone. Pulling it in the wrong way, you could crack the board/screen, so be patient.

Do a search on youtube for "Acer Liquid E700 battery inspection" and you will get an idea of what to expect.  I think it is the 1st or second video in the search.

     Good Luck.

PS: Don't automatically assume that it is the battery.  I had a Moto G (1st gen) and the battery started taking forever to charge, and would not hold charge very long.  I checked the chargers and they were fine.  I ordered a replacement battery, replaced it, but still no difference.   I put the original battery into the wife's Moto G (2nd Gen) which uses the same battery, and the battery was perfectly fine.  Turns out the charging circuitry or something else had failed in the phone.  Needless to say, I did not bother going any further with that.
