Acer Liquid Z630 DTS Studio Sound Stuck Notification

Previously this notification would show permamantly any time my headphones or bluetooth were connected regardless of whether DTS Studio Sound is actually enabled, which is pretty annoying just of itself, but now I'm seeing it all the time. Sometimes it goes away when I restart the device but seems to come back and then refuse to go away. Tapping it just opens the menu. Enabling/disabling it has no effect. Can not swipe away the notification. Doesn't seem to be related to any apps running. Can't figure out how to disable this service, I'm not using it anyway and having a perma-notification on my lock screen is just irritating.

Can this be disabled or reset or otherwise gotten rid of or fixed? Has anyone run into this issue before? Is it a bug?

I don't have a Z630 but i do have a Liquid Zest Plus, which is quite similar to the Z630. Until recently the DTS support for the Zest Plus was broken and the DTS notification would pop up sometimes when playing media. Not always, just sometimes. Given how both phones are quite similar and given how the problems you described also seem to be similar to what us Zest Plus owners had, I think Acer needs to apply whatever fix they gave us about 2 weeks ago to you Z630 owners out there. Whether you use it or not, Acer needs to fix it for the benefit of those who do use their phones to listen to music using ear buds or headphones. DTS really makes music sound awesome.
