Hi everybody

Since last week my smartphone Liquid E600 only seems to work with spoken instructions. I can no longer type my instructions or messages on my keyboard. How can I stop this? I prefer to type in my messages or SMS.

Can anybody tell me where to search (Phone menu, android, google?) and how to perform?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Ironfly,

Keyboard and input was set default on Google spoken instructions (automatic). The second (only) option is Japanese ME. So when I choose the second option, I can type my instructions on a keyboard but not a european, the keyboard has also Japanes signs on it. With only 2 options that limits my choice, it's an improvement but I am still not entirely satisfied. What happened? Where is my old keyboard and how did it come to this?

if not install it and set as default keyboard.

    Hi Ironfly,

After getting your hint to check in language & input, I searched for another keyboard and found a Google keyboard. After installing it, I could once again typing my messages and SMS on an "normal" keyboard. But then I got your reply and tried gboard. The layout of gboard is better and it has extra features. So I finally decided to keep gboard, although the azerty keyboard is rather small and not so suitable for big fingers. It will take a bit of practice to type on the right key. My old keyboard looked like a keyboard of a phone (ABC DEF GHI .....). It took less space and had bigger keys. I still don't know what has happened, one morning the keyboard was gone and I had to speak my instructions (????)

The thing that still bothers me on the E600, is the internal memory of 4 GB. With all the apps that Android puts on the phone I have about 130 MB free memory (although I have a SD card of 30 GB). I had to delete some apps to be able to install gboard.

Acer should come with a solution for this problem, but all is quiet on the western front.

I want to thank for your effort in finding a solution for my leyboard problem.
