Windows 10 factory reset stuck, reaches 98% then drops back to 64%?

Hi,

I have an Acer ZC-700G getting stuck on a factory reset?

It reaches 98% completion then the computer restarts and the factory reset goes back to starting at 64%.

(When it restarts it also bleeps, makes a bleep sound).

This repeats over and over never moving beyond this point.

Is there a way to get around this cliché?

Thanks,

John

have you tried to run the factory reset from boot?

    press Alt+F10 at boot

or you can create a windows 10 vanilla installation media and then download the drivers/application from Acer support website:

    http://community.acer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Windows-10-Installation-Recovery-Media-Creation-and-Use/ta-p/394236

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

I did find the Alt F-10 option and tried it but nothing on it worked.

I have opted for installing from a Windows 10 bootable DVD I made back when it was available as a free download.

I was hoping to avoid doing this since it will make the originally installed OS obsolete.

I will look into the link you provided for another solution.

    Thanks!
