I am using a DVI full link to HDMI cable to connect GN246HL monitor to  computer. When I set my resolution to 144 Hz, the monitor successfully displays increased fps, but there is a message box that appears over my screen that says my cable is incorrect: "Incorrect cable. Please use the dual link DVI cable that came with your monitor." I cannot use that cable as my graphics card has only HDMI input.

How do I get rid of this message?

In order to get 144Hz on this monitor you must use a dual link DVI cable which is included with the monitor. If you are using an adapter to connect, we cannot guarantee you will get 144HZ. You might try a more expensive adapter but Acer can guarantee 144Hz via direct dual link DVI connection.

I just purchased one of these monitors and was experiencing the same issues, but i figured it out the monitor i recieved was shipped with a dvi-d single link cable and a vga cord, no dvi-d dual link cable to be found in the box, my guess is this is the issue with most people experiencing this issue. Acer please send the right cables with your monitors.
