Hi community,

Mi tablet stopped working all of a sudden. But it started a couple of days before when it gave me a message saying something about some overheat somewhere, or something like that. Then after a few hours it just powered off. After a couple of tries pressing the power on button it turned on. Now it powered off again and wont turn on, no matter what I do. The device is relatively new, it still doesn’t have a year use. I even registered the device with the official acer web site a few days after the purchase, and they just sent me a message yesterday to review the device o.O

What would you recommend me to do.

I already tried this http://www.hardreset.info/devices/acer/acer-b1-770-iconia-one-7/

... but nothing, the device is still bricked.

Best regards.

There are lot of apps about battery state on google play, just do a quick search but if it's discharging fast, i would suggest you a factory reset (backup your personal data first), since an app can be using too much battery.

    Settings/backup & reset - factory reset

If it still drain battery, only Acer support service can handle this, probably a bad battery or motherboard.

since you are still under warranty, give Acer support service a call for a check.

After trying to hard reset the device (messing around with the volume rocker, the power button and the pin hole in between them) my tablet turned on, but it shows a battery icon with a tiny red band at the bottom and a plug connector.

I tried to see if it could power on “normaly”, and a menu with some options showed up, I picked the option to reboot and the tabled and then it showed the acer screen after a few seconds, and then the system with all the data.

All the data is in place, and the notification bar shows the battery with 2%, and charging.

Then the system turned off on it own again after a few minutes showing the charging battery icon and all I see now is the screen with the almost empty battery and the plug connector.

I think the battery is not death, because the tablet kept turned on for a bit when I removed the USB connector.

I’ll try a hard reset to see what happens, but before I’ll keep it plugged to the charger a few hours to see if the batery charges.

Ok, so my tablet is working now, the problem is that the battery discharges too quickly. And it seems, it only charges when connected to the wall outlet. While connected to the USB port it shows the battery charing icon but the battery doesn’t charge, or it discharges anyway.

How can I check the battery capacity or battery health? Is there an app for that?

@IronFly, I think I’m going to take it to the store where I bought the table on Saturday. Thanks, very much appreciated.

I bought an Acer Iconia one 7 B1-770 for my godchild in November 2016 and now her tablet doesn't even want to power on.  I tried the volume and power button and also the reboot hole between them and it still doesn't want to turn.. I'm not sure what else to do.  Is their anyway someone can help me with this?

have you tried to connect to the AC charger for about 30 minutes and then trying to power it on?

if the tablet is not able to power on, contact your seller or Acer support service.
