What drivers/firmware did you come from?

There are already a couple of existing threads on this subject:

    http://community.acer.com/t5/Acer-Tablets/W510-battery-drain-fast-and-always-full-CPU-speed/td-p/28175/jump-to/first-unread-message

...and a resolution for the power drain:

If having power problems after installing the lastest update, the easiest way enable the running of the Intel(R) Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Low Power Mode Service Application, is to revert back to the older version from the previous 1.03c driver release by running after a clean boot:

    BIOS_Acer_1.03c_A_A\Bios_Acer_1.03c_ALL\Drivers\DPTF\Installer\Setup.exe

    ..and then rebooting.

I've done that after installing the lastest firmware/drivers 2.04 or 2.08 driver package and all appears as expected.

Of course the higher power consumption in standby with the lastest *.76 Wi-Fi driver version is present, so you may also revert that back to the *.68 version or install Lenovo's release of the *.83 driver.

Whiskey you keep copying and paste your answer of 1.03 but offer no link or even upload it for others. When you know very well ots no longer listed on Acers support site

Do not criticise me Damreal. Why do you not offer a solution rather than complain? I had no idea that the 1.03 driver package was no loner available.

I offered a working solution.  If you are going to complain about my posting then I may just cease posting this help.
