Why does my brand new laptop take 5 tries to turn on and stay on?

My husband bought me a laptop a little over a week ago to start college online. Ever since I opened the box it came in, the laptop has a very difficult time turning on. It will light up, say Acer, then make a click noise and the screen turns black. This happens about five times, then finally, turns on and stays on. This happens every time, no matter if the computer is plugged in or fully charged, or partially charged. I don't know what to do and WE LOST THE RECEIPT so we can't return it. Oh and I live in Germany. HELP!!!

I figured out the issue! I'm going to sound really dumb, but I've been holding down the power button while getting it to turn on. Turns out, all I have to do it tap the power button and it turns right on. Thank you so much for your time and help!

Could you please post the model number of your laptop, E1-xxxx, ES1-xxxx etc.

Connect the AC adapter charge the battery leave it for few hours without switching on the laptop, watch whether battery light change to blue, then try switching on the laptop. If that doesn't help,
you need to contact Acer support in Germany or take it to a local repair shop to get it fixed by a Technician.
