SWITCH TABLET cannot login without keypad

I cannot login in to the tablet unless the keypad is attached, and I hit the enter button.

    i solved it. i was tapping the pad, but what I needed was to swipe up and then tap.  thanks for your help

    Which Switch model do you have? Which OS is installed? Once you login does the touch screen work as you expect? If the touch screen is having issues it wouldn't be too surprising to not be able to use it during login.

    I have the switch alpha 12 running windows 10.  I can only get the login/password prompt with the keyboard connected and hitting enter.  I can then pull off the keyboard and the touch screen works fine.  the only issue appears to be getting the initial password prompt without the keyboard.

    The SA12 and W10 work together to decide when the keyboard is attached and when it's not, turning on things like rotation lock and onscreen keyboard as appropriate. It sounds either like the preferences for that have been corrupted or one of the drivers isn't responding right. Does Device Manager flag anything as unusual?
