are you talking about Gmail client?

From android 6.0 the stock email client is Gmail (by the way, you can download a free one from Google Play):

Not a Gmail account, is under other accounts. My phone will not provide the port configuration like other phones. Cannot configure port 26 for the SMTP account.

I didn't mean a gmail account but gmail application as email client.
On my Zest Plus is the only factory client available.
By the way, i can suggest you too try k9-mail client from google play, it's free and a very good software.

as IronFly has mentioned, the GMAIL client (which is the only preinstalled email client on the Zest Plus) is not an acer specific item.  It is part of the google collection of apps.  It unfortunately does not give the user very fine control over ports, SSL/TSL options, etc..

There are many other 3rd party email apps on the play store.  Many free, some for little cost for additional features.  Each has it's pros and cons.   Some of the popular ones are K9-Mail, Blue Mail, MyMail, and my personal favorite Aquamail.

Main reason I like Aquamail, is that 2 years ago, when I was looking for something that was compatible and most seemless integration with my office Exchange server, it was the only one that worked.  "Touchdown" used to work, but since Symantec bought them out, it has gone downhill and often would no longer work.  Our I/T group has set it up our exchange server in such a strange manner, that no other client would be able to connect properly, and those that would, would do only email, but Aquamail also imports my calendar and very cleanly integrates it into my phone calendar app, which is great for work meeting reminders.  For single account, the app is free, but for multiple accounts you'd need to upgrade ot the Pro version which is about $6.50.   I have now gotten so used to the interface also, that it is hard to switch Smiley Happy

I stuck with Gmail app for all my gmail based emails, outlook app for all my hotmail based emails, and I use aquamail (free version) for my "other" work account.  I really don't like consolidating too much.  Gmail will update it's app before it rolls out new features/options.  Same for microsoft with it's hotmail account and outlook email app.  EXAMPLE: I don't want my hotmail to fail to refresh, because I was using gmail app client to get my emails, and gmail was not aware that microsoft was going to change something in thier ICD/API.

But each client has it's pros and cons.. Try a few, and you choose what you want to keep/use.  Unfortunately, there is no right or wrong client.  It's all personal preference, and what your requirements are also.
