I just bought an Iconia One 10 B3-A20.  Right out of the box Acer wanted me to download and install the system update.  It kept telling me to update and I had not way to say no permently.

Once it downloaded and tried to update this error came up on the screen:

Android system recover <3e>
Acer_AV0L0_B3-A20_0.005.00_WW_GEN1

Error:/system/app/Email/arm64/Email.odex has been modifiedon Mon Sep 21 15:40:42 2015

Error:found 1 modified files

System check FAIL!!

I only had the option to reboot now.   After that reboot all I get now is the "Acer" "Powered by Andriod" then just the "Acer" logo then the pad reboots, and repeats the cycle.

I tried resetting and wipping/ restoring by holding the volume up key and doing it that way.  Same issue over and over again.

Why is this happening?  Is this what I can expect out of an ACER product?  Support tells me Acer did not make the system update and it's all Google's fault.  Really, that is what you teach your support staff?

I would also like to point out that "modifiedon" is not a type on my part.  That is what the message says verbatim.

I also do not understand why on Acer's support page I can not download a factory firmware so I can fix this issue quickly.

Does anyone have any other ideas how to fix this, other than having to send an RMA back to Acer?

Thank you.
