Acer Predator X34 Audio issues

Hey guys!

I just bought an Acer Predator X34 and when trying to play something, I'm having huge issues with the audio. For one, I'll often have 'bump' sounds coming out of the monitor; I don't know if it's the circuitry or the speakers doing it. Also, when I play something the speakers often go silent. The audio plays for 20-30 seconds, then the speakers go mute for 20-30 seconds and so on. I've installed the latest audio drivers for my PC so I'm guessing this is a problem with the X34. For a $1300 product, that's unacceptable.

Are there any fixes or do I claim the warranty and send it back for  replacement?

You are using audio via HDMI or DisplayPort?

And assuming you are using an Nvidia GPU, what driver set do you have installed? I'd recommend a clean install of the drivers using DDU. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html The Nvidia drivers take care of the audio via HDMI or DP.

    DisplayPort.

Not using a dedicated card. Intel Graphics. And, I've installed all the latest drivers from my motherboard manufacturer, including audio and Intel graphics.

Hi. I have exactly same problem. First I plugged my predator through Display Port and there kind of was sound but it was stuttering and then went silent. Then I could hear this weird ticking noise from monitor speakers. I switched to HDMI and no sound either. In both cases my sound panel says its not recognizing a sound device.

My motherboard is Asus Maximus Hero VIII. When I plug PS4 to predator sound works perfectly fine. What do I do? My drivers are up to date.

May it be that theres a conflict between intel and acer audio drivers?drivers.jpg

I've just got an Acer Predator XB271 monitor and getting this ticking sound from the speakers of the monitor just after a week of use....

Tried a lot of solutions floating around the net, like unplugging the power cord, disabling DTS in monitor settings to no avail.

The ticking sound is there from the moment the monitor gets a signal on either a DP or an HDMI cable, had also tested with different computers even, so pretty much feels like a defect...

Filled out a repair request form on Acer, waiting on what will happen....

Quite disappointed on getting a defect within a week from a monitor cost so much... and it's not really there being no sound from the monitor speakers that bothers me, got dedicated speakers.... it's that annoying ticking sound that drives me nuts...

So to follow up with my hassle that starts to become real interesting......

Monitor sent off to Acer Service by courier, could say all proferssional til this point, tracking number provided to know where's the package at.

Upon delivery I get a followup email by Acer Service that the package has been recieved, provided Case ID to track repair progress and status.

No change for a day in status, then the case status flipped over to Under Repair, cool.... Then today the case status changed again to "Awaiting Customer Approval".

Like what? What approval, to get it repaired ? I googled after this, and turns out this is nothing good. The approval is for the quote to have the repair done.

I got nothing yet from Acer, no quote, no nothing, just that status change, but I am already getting immersly **bleep** off given the chance I'll get really quoted for a fix for my monitor  that's literarly fresh out of packaging and allegedly under warranty....

Cannot imagine of the excuse that I'll be faced that I'd "done" with the monitor to get quoted? unpacking it ? Purchasing it the first place ?

Starting to regret getting this Acer monitor, but still clinging on to a slight hope this is all my misunderstanding...
