How am I able to turn the camera back on in my ACER Aspire 5732AZ laptop? It can't find the camera.

As I want to use Skype, the computer cannot find the built-in webcam on my laptop?  How am I able to restart the camera?

Is the device listed in Device Manager?

If the camera is detected. It will be listed under '' Imaging device '' in device manager. If not check if there is any ? mark or yellow ! mark under USB devices.

No.  All it is saying that the device is not found.  I tried the devices and it cannot detect it.  It is not listed now under devices.  When I first got this laptop, the camera was working.  I don't know why it cannot be detected.

Hmmm.  Well, I installed more than one driver, using three different driver programs: Driver Mender, Driver Manager, and Driver Boost.  When I right-clicked the mouse on the Crystal Eye webcam, there was no message indicating "camera not found".  I guess it means that the camera is up, but is it?  When I chatted with a friend last night, I could see her, but she couldn't see me.  Go figure.Smiley Sad

It also seems that Acer has a flaw in their computer, too, as far the webcam goes.  Smiley Frustrated

If the camera device is not listed in Device Manager and there are no devices with a ! or X on them, it is likely that something has happened to the camera and will require contact with a service center to correct the issue.
