I just purchased a new computer and it will not let me activate windows. Model: Aspire TC-220
When I try to activate windows in settings I get a message that says; " This product key is being used on another PC please try a different key. Error code: 0xC004C008
How can this be happening on a brand new computer and what can I do to fix the problem without having to purchase a key?

you can try the phone activation:
press windows logo key + r
type
slui 4
follow onscreen instruction for phone activation, if you are still not able to activate, you have to choices:
1) call the seller
2) call Acer support service

I exchanged the computer and all seems ok with this one now.
