My A3-A40 tablet tells me there is a system update available but when I click on download now I get this message - "Unfortunately, Acer Live Updater has stopped". This message pops up continuously when I click ok to the message so i have to restart.

How can I update please?

    try this:

    settings/Apps - select ALL

Tap the Acer Live updater application

tap on clear data (if available) and tap on clear cache

    tap on force stop

    then go to settings/about tablet

tap on System updates and check now

if it still crash, you can try a factory reset too (backup all your personal data first)

    settings/Backup & reset - factory data reset

once done, don't install any application but check about updates

    then go to settings/about tablet

tap on System updates and check now

    Thanks for your help.

Clearing the data and cache and force stopping the Live Updater app didn't work.

Doing a factory reset on the tab did work and the update is currently downloading.

I had already tried your first option before asking for help on this forum. I also searched to see if I could download the update and flash it from the recovery environment but couldn't find it and had hoped that I wouldn't have to do a factory reset.

    Thanks again.
