Can I get W7 32bit drivers for a TMP259-M-30X5. I need them to run W7 in 32bit XP mode

Hi All,

Our Remote Control Car Club has an older generation transponder counter that only runs on a 32 bit system. We purchased this model as it had both W7 pro and  W10 not thinking that the drivers would only be 64bit for both O/S's.Does anyone know of a way to get around this issue.

BTW a new transponder system is around 15 times the value of the pc.!! So that is kind of a last resort scenario.

Regards

have you tried to run XP itself on a virtual machine?

    like VMware player?

it's very easy to configure but i'm not 100% sure it will work with your transponder but...since it's free for non-commercial use, you can give it a try.

Hi Thanks for your input, I tried that a couple of years back when W7 first came out, when I worked with some very clever Synapse Engineers. Problem wasn't with the software but the users. They couldn't get their heads around an OS within an OS. after several attempts I conceeded and went back to XP.

It really has to be as simple as possible so that anyone can run race control. Outside of that its a problem.

To be honest, I am not even sure that I will be able to run in XP mode within W7 yet. I've not tried it but another club has successfully. Worst case scenario is to ask them to set it up for us and watch carefully.

    Thanks

Ok, about 32bit drivers, a little search with hardwareIDs from device manager, can probably solve most of the drivers issues.

So, you can install windows 7 x86 and then try what i wrote.
