I have been trying to put my one 7 b1-770 into recovery mode using button combinations that are in reputable places on the web (the official manual for the device does NOT even have these instructions in them....)

I can put it in fastboot mode, but CANNOT get into recovery mode.

Please assist and thanks for reading!

if your OS is able to boot you can try ADB command

    adb reboot recovery

Unfortuntely, the reason I'm trying to recover is because my friends son (who keeps changing the PIN so his parents can't use the device) locked himself and everyone else out of the tablet.

So because I can't get in, I can't authorize the computer I would be ADB'ing from and so ADB sees the device but can't connect to it sayingit's an unauthorized device.

Ijust want to put it in recovery, factory reset it and that should be it but it seems impossible on this thing Smiley Sad

    have you already tried:

    volume UP + power button

after 3 seconds release the power button only

    and then release volume button

yup, ALWAYS put it into FASTBOOT mode.

Tried  Vol. Down + Power as well and it does nothing.

I was convinced there is no recovery on this device but that just doesn't make any sense

    Try also
    Volume up+power button
After 3 seconds leave both and press volume down

Just tried this and it didn't work unfortunately.  IT's tricky to time the 3 seconds, at times it will quickly go to fastboot mode.  So i'll try a few times just to make sure i'm getting the timing right but after a few tries so far with the timing seeming right it just boots up reguarely.

I have this same problem.  Is there anyone with any knowledge of this issue?  I think I will just return the tablet.
