SInce I'v decide to keep this I was looking for programs to shutoff or remove that will increase battery life. 41/2 hours is pretty paltry. Any success out there in extending the battery?

Thanks acer-karp that was somewaht helpful but I fly often and worry that the 'on' battery life may not be long enough to last an entire trip but you're right, the fewer things that are running along with a dimmer screen should get me closer to the max. Just wish the max was a little more max you know?

I can re-charge alpha 12 battery at least twice with my powerbank. Powerbank is 70WH. Alpha battery ia 37WH.

How does the adapter set on aliexpress work? Can i buy it and use it with the powerbanks that you tell me. I am not an electric and cant build my own cable.

You need any powerbank that supply 19-20 volt dc and power plug tip that fit Acer switch alpha 12.

Thats all. You can buy them from aliexpress or ebay or amazon, etc.

Note / keep in mind that the USB-C port can also be used for charging with a power-supply that works with the Apple 12" Macbook. 29W seems to be the operative value. Not all wall chargers have worked for me, but the Apple one does. So... find an external battery that will work with the Mac and... should work. Please post if you do. I'd like o buy one; but don't want the "which tip to carry" thing anymore.

You may need USB-C port supported power bank. Unfortunately I have power bank that supplies 9/12V only.

I hope power bank manufacturer will add 19/20 Volt port in the future

Custom made power banks are also cheapest solution. I have purchased 17 usd. The power bank comes with no battery. You can add maximum 6 18650 battey. Power bank is capable of suppliying power 3.6 - 5 - 6 - 9 -12-15-16-19-21 V. Batteries are 4 usd each.

On another note, I am getting only around 2.5 hours battery life on my core i5 version. Any idea if it can be this poor? It is a brand new with no new softwares installed.
