have you already tried a factory reset?

    settings/backup&reset - factory data reset

backup all your personal data first

Not factory reset. But cleaned cache from recovery menu. This is the second time the problem occurred.

probably there's an application that's triggering mdnsd; some point to FireFox.

But I don't have Firefox. First time, after removing Facebook and cache clearing, it was working normal.
But now I don't know what to do. Also a few processes namely " Android OS", "cell standby" start to show up in battery usage.

android OS and cell stand-by is correct.

the only way to check what's draining the battery is to do a factory reset and install 1 application at time.

It depends on how many applications you install.

I have problems with my Z630S and it`s battery too. I updated to Marshmellow right after I bought is and it didn`t last a single day, 40% draining over night without use.

I replaced my cut sim cards (one was 4 years old with probably wrong voltage), which made it a little bit better, disabled background data on most apps, switched to gprs which helped.

But later I found out that the email-app used 10.5GIGABYTE of WLAN traffic. It obviously has a bug.

I switched to gmail, reducing mail-WLAN-traffic to 1mb. That helped alot, but I still get just over 2 days of endurance out of it. It looses 10% while unused over night. My Z3 lasts more than 3 days with just 2300mAh.

Any other ideas what else I could try?

    Hi,
I think a hard reset will solve your problem.

I also used the stock e-mail app and it drained the battery big time (standby time approx 20 hrs). Marshmallow, e-mail app version 6.0-1470915973, using POP3 and SMTP. Even when I chose to never sync!

When I removed the accompanying e-mail account the battery drain stopped _immediately_. As said, this app obviously has a huge bug and I am wondering what the status of this bug is.

Try using another email application, there are many on google play and check battery drain.
If battery usage is ok, i will try to report this.

Thanks for your suggestion, definitely worth a shot. However, I still think Acer should fix the problem.

I agree but testing a different email application will help to double check the issue.

It definetly has a bug, report it. As I wrote, the app has consumed 10.75 GB background Wifi data in a few days. That draws a lot of energy, the Z630S didn`t make a single day. After i deleted my email account my battery drainage was about halved. I use the preinstalled gmail app now, with just 1mb background data in a few days. There is not the slightest doubt about it: The native email app has a massive bug which drains lots of energy and data. And you cannot deactivate it. I still think it may cause part of my ongoing bad battery performance. It still draws about 1% an hour unused, with no app in background and with nearly every app having background data deactivated. And I use Acer`s Powersaving tool too, nearly all apps are on the blacklist- and still even with 2G on both cards 1% an hour on standby and only 2 days endurance. Pretty bad after tweaking the most out of the battery. My Z3 get`s 3-4 days out of 2400mA.

Have you tried a software update for the Liquid Z630?  It can help improve the battery life

    Open the Settings application.

Scroll down and tap About Phone.

    Tap System update.

Your phone will download the update and restart.

If you continue to have issue with the battery draining to fast, please let us. You can PM me so I can take a look at this issue.

I got it on September 12th and updated it right away to marshmellow. All available updates are applied. I even deactivated lots of unused applications, used the acer blcklist a lot and still it`s 1% drainage on standby over night per hour. There are no accounts configured in the native email app and it still uses 1,2mb of WLAN traffic. Way less than those 10,5GB in the first 10 days, but anyway: Why does it still create traffic? And why can`t i deactivate it? Gmail is ok for now but even gmail creates more traffic than I would expect for just about 2 small mails a day. I am really puzzled why I just get 1,5days of use out of it (ok better than those 20h with the buggy email app active) despite a 4000mAh battery. Regards Christoph

Hi, i'm italian Z630S user. After last marshmallow update i noticed an high battery drain when the devise in on standby even data connection, wifi, gps and other features are tourned off! It loses more than 10% during night time vene i disabled all connection and close running apps with Acer Aid Kit!! Before the updates it last 2,5 days with 5 hours screen on time, now it's about 1-1,5 days with 3-4 hours screen on time! I already tried 2 or 3 factory reset but i got the same result!

    Anyone can gently help me?

Using an app battery monitor i finally understood that my device never goes on deep sleep mode or doze mode!! After 12,5 hours usage i got 11 hours "HELD AWAKE", "0" seconds "DEEP SLEEP" and "0" seconds "DOZE TIME".  I tried other marshmallow smartphones and they regurarly go on deep sleep or doze mode! Acer can you fix this problem?
