Acer XR341CK: No mobo POST screen

Plugged in my Acer Predator XR341CK (Freesync) last night and so far very impressed coming from a 1440p TN panel. Two odd things though I noticed and was wondering if anyone had advice.

1.) When starting up my system (MSI Z170A M7 and MSI 390x), I don't get a POST screen from my mobo anymore. Monitor reads no signal until I get into Windows. Maybe the BIO's doesn't support 3440x1440? Maybe I need to clear CMOS?

2.) My overclock setting i used on my TN panel with MSI afterburner doesn't work on this monitor. When I apply the overclock I get a black screen. Does this 3440x1440 resolution make this video card and overclock less stable? I haven't had a chance yet to do a minor overclock yet to test this.

Thanks

    1) check on BIOS what's the first display device and set on PCI-ex (if you have a GPU on PIC-EX slot)

I started it up last night and I got the POST screen without changing anything. Restarted and got it again. I shut down and came back later and turned it on, no POST screen again.

I tried a very mirror overlcock and it was good for awhile and then got a black screen again. Maybe I have a bad monitor?

    Will test more tonight.

Update, everything in BIOS is good. Started it up and got a POST screen. Restarted later and got no POST screen. Turned off and tried again and got no POST screen. It only happens at random.

I plugged in my other ACER monitor using HDMI, this one has always worked fine. Running a duel setup fixed my screen going black when overclocking. As long as I'm running two monitors the overclocking is fine and I can get into BIOS using my old ACER. Debating getting a refund. I have a feeling the monitor is fine and it's a capablity issue with this model the drivers and my video card. I've read similar problems with the Fury cards.

yep, it looks like a sort of random issue, probably some handashaking issue on video signal during boot up.
