x34 Menu Saving and Color Flashing with no connection??

Hello all,

Before exchanging my x34 I wanted to see if anyone else has seen my issues.

First, I can toy around with whatever settings I want, and they all work fantastic! I can "save" those settings to a profile and it gives a comfirmation ("saved setting 2")

When I turn off the monitor, and turn it back on, the settings are back to defaults (this is fine, ill load my profile!) but when i load up setting 2, none of the settings are where I left them, and it resembles the default settings again.

Examples of settings i saved: brightness, contrast, ambient light color change (LED strips at bottom) Overclock refresh rate)

This issue is very cumbersome since I have to turn the monitor off a lot due to.....

Issue 2:

When the monitor loses connection to a display source (computer goes to sleep, Input changes to one without a source, I turn my PC off etc) the x34 flashes bright colors at the screen. RED, BLUE, GREEN, WHITE, BLACK, on an endless repeat cycle until I turn the monitor off or reconnect it to a display source. Is this normal behavior? is there a way to just make it black? Id like my computer display to shut off without the monitor being on 24/7.

Thanks for reading, theres surprisinly little online for issue resolution.

Besides this, everything about the monitor is great.

For anyone who may stumble upon this:

I brought this up to acer tech support and they reccommended i get it serviced or replaced.

After finding someone else with the color swapping issue with no connection, they also posted a video here:

I simply reset the monitor to its factory settings.

To do this, open up the on screen display, and open the menu with the wrench icon.

go down to where it says "reset" and click that setting.

THe monitor will reset to factory defaults.

This fixed all my issues (i didnt even know there was a Predator Logo that popped up on screen!)

    hope this helps someone
