Hi everyone,

I just bought an Acer Aspire Switch 12 in May. It was working nice, the notebooks discharged then i plug it to charge, but i have no light indicator (âmbar light) and the tablet is not Power on, even connected to the charger.
I've checked my charger and it is working. What i do?

The charger should be putting out 19vdc through a small barrel plug. Is this how you have it connected ? It will not charge via USB.

Yes, it's connect right, not usb. I tested the charge and it is putting out 19vdc.

OK then open the Switch 12 so you can see the top of the keyboard. Do not disconnect it.  Is the amber charging light on the keyboard by the switch on ?

No, it's not on. Seems that is not charging at all

Sounds like a wiring or hardware issue. Both of my indicators (by power button and slide switch on keyboard) come on when I plug in the power supply.

BTW the power socket is near the USB 3.0 socket. The hole on the side near the power button is for the headset (but the small power plug fits).

I think it too, the tablet was working fine and suddently after discharged, was not charging anymore.
Is there a way to open it and see if everything is OK?

I notice that, after trying to charge with no sucess, i can hear a very low "click" every 7 sec coming from the Power socket

I sent it to Acer here in Brazil, the solution they give to me was to charge the motherboard. It's very expensive and the repair price will cost more than a new one. I think i Lost my tablet.

It is only some month old so why do you have to pay for it? What about a guarantee repair?

Yes, my problem is that I bought it in México, and now i live in Brazil. I could send to México, but the shipment cost will be high.
