XB240H non GSYNC version image issues

I bought a new XB240H (UM.FB0EE.001) the non gsync version.

images are leaving a "wake" behind them. Especially in an FPS moving sideways will cause an object to leave a trailing ghost of the object..

I am running windows 10 and have applied the update so it is no longer a generic monitor, I have set NVIDIA control panel to use the PC resolution setting to pull in 144Hz and I have set windows advanced display settings to use 144Hz and there has been no difference.

Anyone any ideas how it can be fixed.

yeah contacted support 10 days ago and only got a response to try a different cable. but i looked into blurring and found a random post explaining overdrive and how it should be turned off. The monitor menu had something called OD set to "normal" as default so i switched it off and the glow is gone
