Can Switch 12 charge via USB 3.1?

Can the Switch 12 be charged via USB 3.1?  Some descriptions are vague and all the answers I found are for previous models.  It'd be nice to have a not-so-clunky option to charge on the go.

Nope, the power adapter is 19V 45W, the USB port is 5V.

Okay, I figured as much.  Do you happen to know where I could possibly get a smaller plug, then?

Are any Radio Shacks still open ? Might be a yellow tip (barrel plug sizes are color coded).

This is a 100% wrong.  My macbook 12 charger charges my Acer Switch Alpha 12.  I'm currently looking for a portable battery that can charge this thing as a macbook 12 is a 14.5V 2A charger which most batteries don't do.  An i5 uses about 45 W at 15V 3A but the the USB Charging spec supports 5V 3A as well.  Trying to find somebody that can confirm that one of the cheaper portable batteries work.

    Hi MGSolidSnake ,

A: ADP-45AW (Asus) works fine with my Switch Alpha 12. I bought it a week ago and it's been good until now.

Thanks for this, yours is the second claim I've read that confirms it charges from USB C along with the review by Mobiletechreview. I too am interested in some kind of portable battery for it which would also interest other Alpha 12 users.

Thanks! I've seen some things on Amazon, but they generally run up between $50-100.

errr folks. A Switch 12 is a completely different unit than a Switch Alpha 12. I have a Switch 12 and it wants 19v to charge.
