Acer A500 bricked? after trying to update

I tried to follow (multiple) instructions on updating my A500 that was running 3.2. After following the steps, it went from the Android with the bar below it (it finished) to ''stuck' on the ACER logo. And now there is nothing.

When I press the power button it lights up, but no vibration. I've tried the vol+power, I've done the paperclip reset, I get nothing. Black screeen.

I know many have successfully 'unbricked' these...can someone point me to a procedure to try to salvage this tablet?

All responses are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

If your tablet will not boot or only displays the Android logo, you can try the steps below.

Try resetting your device using one of the links below or Contact your local Acer service center to inquire about setting your tablet up for repair.

First of all, the videos in both of those links will not play. Secondly, I've tried the vol/power option and the  'reset port with a small pointy objest' option. Neither of which had any effect whatsoever.

Thank you for your reply, but if you had some other suggestion I would sure appreciate it.

you have to search on XDA board to find something to unbrick your tablet.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
