Any W10 drivers for Bluetooth on Aspire 5745G?

Sorry, I don't really know where to integrate this question.

Basically I've upgraded my old laptop to Windows 10, but I cannot connect any bluetooth device. If I remember well, the bluetooth should also appear in the Device Manager, but there's only the wifi card and the network card there. I've tried to find network card drivers for W10, but they are nowhere to be found.

I apreciate any link to a page where I can download W10 drivers for this laptop.

Thank you.

Are you absolutely, positively sure that you had bluetooth hardware connectivity before you downgraded? 8^) Bluetooth connectivity hardware varied on these models.

It is written on the laptop, but I've never ysed it on w8 and w7. Didn't need to.
If somehow it doesn't have, then it is fake advertising from Acer.

Try the Win7 bluetooth driver here to see what happens. Select notebook, aspire, 5745g, Win7-64 . Report back.

"Atheros Bluetooth suite doesn't work with this version of Windows"

That's what I got. Changing the compatibility settings didn't help Smiley Sad

Did you do a cold boot after changing to Win7? If that doesn't work you could try some of the suggestions in the hits from googling the keywords ""Bluetooth Suite 8.0.1.336". The Win8 version ***allegedly*** works with Win10. Let us know how it works out if you decide to try it.

Unfortunatelly, the cold boot did nothing.

The Bluetooth Suite 8.0.1.336 drivers install, but they do nothing as well.

I still can't find the Bluetooth in the device manager and my comp. cannot detect any bluetooth device.

I might have rushed up to upgrade to W10 Smiley Sad

I know you prolly won't like this but you can always backup your current Win10 configuration. Then Alt+F10 back to factory-delivered Win7 config just to double check if bluetooth hardware was ever really detected by the Win7 driver despite claims on the glued-on label. Then decide if you want to restore the Win10 config.

I'm gonna buy and try a 10$ bluetoorh usb adapter, maybe it does the trick. Although I'm not sure how it works. Willl post the progress in a few days.

Good decision! They're so small that they'll almost but not quite make you forget about the bluetooth claim on the label. 8^)
