Two things to check. First is to verify that there is nothing in Device Manager indicating a problem. If you don't have the drivers installed you'll get this symptom. Next verify that the rotatation lock isn't enabled. Swipe in from the right to get the toggle.

What did you see in Device Manager?

Well, in Sensors I only have one Kionix accelerometer. IS there any other option to check?

Did you try updating the Kionix accelerometer. That will most likely get your rotation back.

Try Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Adjust commonly used mobility settings > Rotate Screen>landscape. Try again updating driver while in landscape.

Also make sure you have platform driver reinstalled after Win 10 upgrade. Even though they are for wWin 10.

I had this issue but saw there's a setting in Control Panel>Appearance>Display>screen resolution: Allow screen auto-rotate.

Stock has this box unchecked for some reason.

There's also another setting in Settings>System>Display: Lock rotation of this display

Again, stock has this set to "On"

There's also yet another setting when you swipe left from the right most section of the screen.

I'm not sure why they have auto-rotate set to off so for all those other "noobs" like me, check your settings.

Thank god it wasn't some software/hardware issue in my case.
