Cooler Master has a whole line of cooling pads with great reviews. I'd recommned finding one you like that supports the 17. Make sure to double check your measurements, as I've seen some that are a little small and there is some overhang.

I have the NotePal X-Slim. Silent, USB powered, and perfectly sized.

Yeah, most coolers are not design for such a heavy laptop. First i was thinking to get CM ergostand III but many people complain that it can support heavy laptops even if it says up to 17"
ChevyCam, is NotPal X-slim good, do you feel temp. drop?

I think i will get cooler master notepal u3 plus. It can take up to 19" and saw pretty good reviews

Found one on Amazon that matchs the Predator series really nice, good reviews and cheap. Might be over designed tho. Looks super "gamer" style. The vents on the bottom look dangerous too, looks like you could get your finger sliced up lol. It's called the Marvo, I'm personally opting for something more low key. Looking to get a cooler in the next week or so. I'll post my thought on the one I get.

I have check it on amazon and it got realy positive feed back from all user + prices is only 20$. Sounds almost too perfect.
    But that look...it's really childish.
I will wait for your review.
Im planing to get cooler this month.

Wow, that thing looks serious!  The one I have has one giant fan in the middle, and moves quite a bit of air, but I can only imagine how much the Marvo moves!  If it were as quiet as mine is, I would certainly buy that Marvo.  The feet at the bottom to keep the laptop from crawling off, the stands in the back to keep it tilted to easier typing, and adjustable fan speeds?  YES!

And honestly, for $20, thats a deal.  Some coolers are upwareds of $60 to $70, or more.

If you are still interested I bought Cooler Master notepal U3 + for my acer predator 17 and after 1 month of using it im really happy with it.
Its pretty big cooler, 19" looks like its made for predator. Its very stable and made from aluminium not plastic like most coolers. There is rubber on edges so it dont slide. You get 3x removable fans and you can place them wherever you want.
Now you dont have to look down on your display because its lifted and your fingers feels natural when typing or gaming.
    Now lets talk about temps.
On idle there is not much differance. But while gaming my cpu tem is around 60-62C (while charging and after hour or two of gaming) without cooler i had 70C

Also, cooler is pretty silent. I have pay it around 35€.
