Acer Switch 10e Main camera not working after upgrading to Windows 10

My Acer Switch 10e has been upgraded to Windows 10. Everything is fine except the MAIN Camera while the Front camera is working very well. Can anybody solve this problem? I've tried many ways including downloading new drivers from Acer Supports for Windows 10 but the MAIN camera is still not working. Thank you.

Same here: After Win 10 upgrade (Aspire V 15 Nitro) the internal cam was gone for good.

The drivers seem to be ok, at least i updated the ones that are on the support page.

Try going to "device manager>system devices>camera scensor" and update driver.

    Hi,

Thanks for the help. I found two devices "Camera Sensoor OV2722" with the 28/05/2014 drivers. I then updated them to the 04/07/2015 drivers but it ended up affecting both cameras with the "make sure your camera is connected" error. I reverted back to the old ones and the front camera works again, and the main camera is just a black screen.

    Cheers.

Device Manager>Imaging devices>AVStream Camera and update driver. Then try sensors update if still not working.

    Hi again.

I can't see that device. I only see Intel(R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400 under Imaging Devices. That driver seems to be up to date.

Make sure you have Show Hidden Devices turned on. If Device Manager thinks the device is not connected it hides it by default.

Same problem with SW05-012, I tried all drivers for win 8.1 and 10, even the drivers from other 2in1 systems like this one with the same cam and chipset. I tried the camera options in the privacy tab. But nothing is working.

Please Acer solve the problem with a patch or new drivers, cause the ones to download are worthless Smiley Happy

Hey, any chance to get new camera drivers for Switch 10 on Acer Support website? Tried everything, seems like drivers work, but applications don't see the camera :-( Is there a way to at least check if the camera is at least operable? Totally desperate!

Does Device Manager show the camera as operating normally?

In the "imaging Devices" section the ISP 2400 driver is showing as operating properly, while in the "System Devices" the Camera Sensor OV2720 driver is not working, showing the triangle (!). When I tried to install OV2720 from the "Intel Platform Drivers" package I downloaded from Acer website, I got a message that the driver was found, but cannot be installed becasue of an incorrect signature.

OK, before starting the install you'll need to turn off the signature testing:

    a. Press Windows + X keys and click command prompt(admin).

    b. Type the following command in command prompt and press Enter.

    bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS & bcdedit /set testsigning on

    c. Close command prompt.

After the install is finished, turn it back on:

    a. Press Windows + X keys and click command prompt(admin).

    b. Type the following command in command prompt and press Enter.

bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS & bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF

    c. Close command prompt.

What's  the link to the AOP Framework you downloaded?

Try BYOC Consumer Applications, or choose your model on Drivers and install the Quick Access application.

IIRC, one of the 2 should install the AOP Framework automatically.

Acer Aspire SW3-013 camera not working after update to Windows 10 Home 32-bit version 1607 -

Device Manager had 3 entries that seemed to be related to the camera.  Two had duplicate identical entries, so I deleted the second ones (but did not delete the drivers)  Then I updated the 3 drivers:
    DEVICE MANAGER:
Imaging Devices > Intel Imaging Signal Processor 2400 (2 copies)
Sensors              > Capella Micro CM3218 Ambient light sensor
System devices  > Camera Sensor OV2722 (2 copies)

Hope this helps someone else from spending a couple of hours searching for a solution.
