Hello All!

I've had my monitor for about a month now and i've never been able to get a clear picture above 85hz?? It turns an extremely vibrant aqua color when I go any higher than 85hz.

Please note the comparisons from 85hz to 100hz.

I have 2 x 980ti sli and am using the supplied dp cable. Anyone come across something like this?

Thank you,

Austin

Never seen this before.  Have you tried/are you able to try with only running one of your GPUs?  I'd test that first if I were you and go from there.  At this point it's going to be a matter of troubleshooting the setup.

Thank you for the response! I really appreciate your time and help with this issue.

I have tried that with no luck. Infact i've tried nearly everything I can think of with no results.

Fresh install of windows 10 pro - drivers - nvidia drivers

    isolating graphics cards

    sli/no sli

    g sync enabled and not

    various resolutions

    multiple monitor resets

I haven't tried replacing the supplied display port cable with one that is capable of supporting 3440 x 1440 @ 100hz. This could be the problem but it's odd considering i still get signal and full control of the computer/monitor with no flickering or screen tearing.. it just has a crazy teal color. Do you have a recommendation that I can buy?

Here's the setup if this can help.

    - MOTHERBOARD | X99A SLI PLUS
    - Graphics | 2 x GTX 980TI
    - PSU | Corsair 1000W HX1000i
    - CPU | Intel Core I7 5930k 3.5G 15M
    - Memory | Corsair CMK 16GB 2666
    - HDD | 1TB WD Sata6G
    - SSD | 512GB Samsung

Little side note - I called acers customer support and they recommended to try an HDMI cable because (how the lady set it) "it's actually better for overclocking to 100hz" ...  ..   . .  what?

Yeah Acer support really don't know what they are talking about sadly.  A lot of people get very strange requests or responses from them when it comes to basic troubleshooting Smiley Frustrated

I can definitely say that there is a problem with the Red colour on the signal since turquoise will be created by using only Green and Blue, with 0 Red.  This -could- be a cable issue, if the cable is defective so I would definitely suggest trying out a different DP cable as long as you can get a good one and not a cheap brand which will definitely have issues with overclocking etc.  Look for a cable which says "rated for 4K" or something like that, or go with a good named brand, that will definitely be able to support 3440x1440@100hz.

If the cable doesn't solve it, then I would be sad to say I think you have a defect in the monitor itself regarding the Red colour value.

Let's hope that the cable is just a bit broken and getting a new one of those fixes it!

Yeah sadly I think it probably is a fault with the red colour output of the monitor.  You'll probably need to go through Acer support to have them fix it under warranty, or you could return it for a replacement via RMA with the seller if it's still within your return period.  Good luck Smiley Happy
